The farm was purchased in 1902 by Frederich Bohm and Amelia Kruger Bohm. Frederich and Amelia immigrated to the United States in 1872 from Germany and settled in the predominantly German community of Billings, Missouri. They operated a typical subsistence farm that provided for all the family’s immediate needs. Like many farms of this era in southwest Missouri, the work was very labor intensive and the family tradition of hard work has been instilled in every generation of the operations. Up until 2001 the cattle production was primarily a small commercial cow/calf operation. In the fall of 2001 we purchased our first Fullblood Braunvieh bull and bred cow from Lane and Lane farms. We were very impressed by the traits that the Braunvieh sired cattle showed, such as hybrid vigor, docility, and growth. We showed our first Braunvieh heifer in 2002 and have never looked back. Andrew has since served two terms on Junior Braunvieh Association Board of Directors, most recently as President. At the 2015 Junior Nationals Andrew was honored to be named as the Junior Herdsman of the Year. We strive to produce quality seedstock that will work in a variety of climates and will satisfy whatever your needs may be.
